GINZAZA is a short film playground inside an underground parking lot. Each edition will be a unique exploration into the short film format. Our goal is to create a space where anyone, from non-movie goers to busy bees, can casually stop by. The films may be short, but we hope you’ll think about them for a long time.

A Special GINZAZA Conversation with Director Ryusuke Hamaguchi

While shooting masterful feature-length films such as Drive My Car (2021) and Happy Hour (2015), director Ryusuke Hamaguchi has also continued to direct short films. His Silver Bear Award winner at the 2021 Berlinale, Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy, is an omnibus film consisting of three shorts. For the inaugural edition of GINZAZA, co-organizers and co-curators Neo Sora and Aiko Masubuchi joins director Hamaguchi to talk about all 10 films in the line-up.
